Google Calendar Reminder Not Working

My google calendar reminders have stopped sending reminders to my yahoo email.

To make sure you receive notifications for new changed or canceled invitations you need to update your default notification settings. I have gone into the daily reminders and re saved them but they are still not working. If the reminder notifications stopped working abruptly then updating the app might be your remedy. If you are not receiving reminder notifications start by switching your device language to english united states.

Make sure the reminders box next to my calendars is checked. Click an empty slot in your calendar. I did not receive an invitation to a google calendar event i was invited to.
