Yahoo Calendar Invite Time Wrong
Follow these steps to adjust your yahoo calendar timezone settings.
Yahoo calendar invite time wrong. In other words my calendar shows the meeting was at 12 noon eastern time but when it reaches my prospect it shows on their calendar as 8am pacific instead of the right time of 9am pacific. For example a meeting organizer in the united stated pacific time zone sends a meeting request for 2 00 p m. I am using gmt setting while my friend use uct timezone.
Funny part is the body of the invite clearly shows the correct time but the outlook calendar time is one hour earlier. However the events are shown as 1 hour. Sent a meeting invite to two different people on two different days they are pacific time zone and it shows an hour off.
Why when i send yahoo calendar invitation to my friends in the same timezone the time slot in their side shows 1 hour ahead of my original setting. Wife s calendar time zone is set correctly but when she sends invites to my work exchange account it shows up in my outlook client that has the same pst timezone it appears off by one hour. My settings show i am eastern time zone which is correct.
I have a similar problem. I have tried to change different settings. In my yahoo calendar it shows as 2 00pm while it is 1 00pm in my friend s outlook calendar.
However the result is the same. When you send a meeting request to an attendee in a different time zone the meeting item is displayed at the respective local times on each person s calendar but saved in utc. Once you set the correct timezone for your yahoo account your events will be displayed at the correct time.
Pacific time to an attendee in the united states mountain. This is because yahoo sometimes sets an incorrect timezone for users which may cause events to show up at the wrong time.
