In outlook 2007 create a new appointment by clicking the file new appointment.

Open the remind me dropdown and select add email reminder. Open a task window. Select the calendar event you want to add an email reminder to and press edit.
In the microsoft visual basic for applications window click insert module. Click file options calendar. Check the flag for me box.
